Terms of Service

Last updated: August 2026.

By using LakeSense (the "Service"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

The Service

LakeSense provides AI-generated fishing recommendations and lake condition information, provided "as-is" and "as-available", without warranty of any kind. Recommendations are based on bathymetric surveys, weather and lake-level data, and your own reported outcomes — they are suggestions, not guarantees of catching fish or of conditions on the water.

Not a navigation device

Depths, contours, and spot locations shown in LakeSense are approximate estimates derived from historical surveys and interpolation between data points, not real-time depth soundings. Do not use LakeSense for navigation or boating safety. Use a certified marine chartplotter or depth finder, and your own judgment, for anything safety-related on the water.

Angling regulations are your responsibility

Species, season, size, and bag-limit information referenced in the app is for planning purposes only and may be out of date or incomplete. You are responsible for verifying current fishing regulations, license requirements, and any closures with the applicable state wildlife agency (e.g. ODNR) before fishing. LakeSense is not a substitute for the official regulations of the state you're fishing in.

Accounts

You must provide a valid email to create an account and are responsible for activity under it. You must be legally permitted to use the Service in your jurisdiction.

Subscriptions

Paid subscriptions are sold, billed, and renewed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and are subject to that store's subscription terms, including auto-renewal, refund, and cancellation policies. Manage or cancel your subscription through your app store account settings, not through LakeSense directly.

Prohibited use

  • Reverse-engineering, scraping, or reselling the Service or its data.
  • Using the Service to violate any fishing regulation, trespass law, or other applicable law.
  • Interfering with the Service's operation.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LakeSense and its developer are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service, including reliance on any recommendation, depth reading, or condition data it provides.
